He is survived by: his mother Alice; his wife Cynthia; his siblings, Jeanne, Anton (Anne), Elaine (Stan), David (Kathy) and Carol (Casey); and also Gunther. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and great nieces.
According to his wishes, Vern's organ donation of kidneys and heart have aided in the healing of three recipients.
