It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James Kolar of Fox River Grove, Illinois, born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on July 26, 2020, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Frank Kolar and Marie Kolar (Minovsky); his wife Jeanne; his stepson John; and his sister Helen K. Allen.
He is survived by: his friends, Patti O, Carl B, Linda, Carol K, Sandy, Elvira (Ella) and Maggie; his daughters, Jeanmarie Riccobono (Tom) of Traverse City, MI and Jodi Landeros (Tom) of Conroy, IA; his stepdaughter Carol Schaefer of Menifee, CA; his daughter-in-law Susan Kolar of Cary, IL; his grandchildren, David, Robyn, Noelle, Michael, Gabrielle, James, Marie and Brian; his great grandchildren, Ashton, Faith, Payton and Brooklyn; his nieces and nephews, Mary Watkins of Presque Isle, WI, Sue Morrison (Doug) of Crivitz, WI, Don Sandman (Patti), Bryan Allen (Deb) of Peoria and Dwight Sandman of Star Lake, WI; his pet Zacharius Wellington Doubleday Schwartz, III; and also Fay. He is also survived by children and grandchildren, a sister-in-law.
Because of Covid, a private ceremony will be held in Windridge Memorial Park and Nature Sanctuary in Cary, IL on August 6, 2020 with Military Honors.
