He is survived by: his parents, Carolyn Gertz and James Gertz; his children, Joey Gertz (Halee Johnson), Hailey Gertz and Emilie Gertz; his granddaughter JoAnne Gertz; his brothers, Donald Gertz (Cissie) and Tommy Gertz (Lindsay); his nieces and nephews, Steffanie Baseley, Landen and Camryn Gertz; his aunt Mary Willet; his uncle Robert Steven Gilliam (Teresa); his cousins, Tammy Miranda, Billy, Ryan Brannigan, Kelly Gilliam, Katie Miller and Andrew Gilliam; his great-aunt Gwen Seagraves (James); his close friend Rob Schumacher; and his pet Angel.
