Esther N. Schuerr Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Esther N. Schuerr (Fox Lake, Illinois), who passed away on March 19, 2025 at the age of 104. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Janssen and Emma Janssen; her husband John "Jack" Schuerr; her son Robert "Bobby"; and her brothers, Carl Janssen (Alice), William Janssen and Everett Janssen (Dorothy).
She is survived by: her children, John Schuerr (Debra) of Conover, WI, James Schuerr (Jill) of Spring Grove, Nancy Schuerr of Colorado City, CO, Judith DeRosa (Sam) of Johnsburg and Michael Schuerr (Vicki) of Conover, WI; and her grandchildren, Kory, Rob (Lisa), Andy (Nikki), Gabe, Michael Schuerr, Robert (Brie), Lance DeRosa (Mel), Kelly Hoodenpyle, Kim Wagner, Suzi Collins (Ed), Holly McCormick (Brandon) and Ashley Mohr. She is also survived by 23 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 26th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Hamsher Lakeside Funerals & Cremations (12 N Pistakee Lake Rd, Fox Lake, IL 60020). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, March 26th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 703, 703 N. US Hwy 12, Fox Lake, IL 60020, appreciated.
