It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elfriede Steffens (Fox Lake, Illinois), who passed away on December 9, 2019, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Bernard Hoell and Brigette Hoell; and her sister Rosel Lautenschlaeger (Kurt). She is survived by: her husband Walter; her former wife May; her children, Michael Steffens (Jean), Jeff Steffens (Stephanie) and Karen Szumanski (Tom); her grandchildren, Paul, Nicole Steffens, Jillian, Alexandra Steffens, Samantha, Kate and Jessica Szumanski; her sibling Sigmunda Hoell; and her nieces and nephews, Klaus Lautenschlaeger, Beate Lorenz (Jurgen) and Annette Reinfried (Michael). She is also survived by many great nieces, nephews, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, Masses in Elfriede's name appreciated.
