He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Fanning and Allene Starrett Fanning. He is survived by: his wife Kathy; his children, Brad Fanning of Fowler, Steve Fanning of Golden and Cheryl Bohn (Steve) of Washington, IA.; his grandchildren, Adam Fanning (Matt), Tyler Fanning (Erin), Levi Fanning, Michelle Large (Corey), Bryan Fanning, Erica Nilius (Erik) and Alyssa Weidemeier (Nick); his great grandchildren, Madilyn, Amaeya Large, Bria, Bodie, Bexley Nilius, Khalia, Khenley and Khya Weidemeier; his aunt Shirley Peters of Beach Park, IL.; and his cousin Carolyn Ratliff (Roger) of Quincy.
