With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Rose Wentworth of Forsyth, Illinois, who passed away on December 8, 2024 at the age of 97. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Rose Wentworth to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Edgar Benning Disbrow and Axie Disbrow (Huffmaster); her husband John Wentworth; and her brothers, William Disbrow, Lewis Benning Disbrow and Robert Disbrow.
She is survived by: her children, Steve Alan Wentworth (Pamela) of Dahinda, IL, Linda Carol Rodgers (Jerry) of Dahinda, IL and David John Wentworth (Lisa) of Decatur, IL; her grandchildren, Dr. Jay Rodgers (Jodie), Jon Rodgers (Kelly), Lindsay Lam (Chris), Julie Jacobson (Mark) and Scott Wentworth (Natalie); and her great grandchildren, Drew, Ava, Jack, Lilla, Quinn, Dylan, Cooper, Eli, Tyler, Nicole, Callie Rose, Adelynn, Evan, Paige and Molly.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Grace Methodist Church (901 N Main St, Decatur, IL 62521). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be given to the Rose Wentworth Memorial Fund at Richland Community College Foundation, which will be used to fund Nursing Programs. Checks should be made payable to Richland CC Foundation, with Rose Wentworth Memorial Fund, in the memo line.
