We bid farewell to Doris Irene Kapper of Forsyth, Illinois, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on December 1, 2024 at the age of 96. Doris Irene touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond W. Neibuhr and Helen L. Neibuhr (Fox); her husband Maurice E. "Pete" Kapper; her son Kevin; her siblings, Guy Neibuhr and Wilma Jones; and her children-in-law, Reggie Merrill and Shirley Kapper (Hood).
She is survived by: her children, Vicki Largent (Jeff) of Decatur, IL, Dennis Kapper (Victoria) of Decatur, IL and Donna Merrill of Argenta, IL; and her daughter-in-law Elaine Kapper. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Moran & Goebel Funeral Home and Cremation Services (2801 N Monroe St, Decatur, IL 62526). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church (3850 Lourdes Dr, Decatur, IL 62526).
