It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lyle H. Wilken of Forreston, Illinois, born in Freeport, Illinois, who passed away on May 2, 2023, at the age of 61, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his granddaughter Maya. He is survived by: his parents, Dale Wilken and Leona Wilken (Albert) of German Valley, IL; his wife Penny Kessler of Forreston; his children, Josh Wilken (Allyson) of German Valley, IL, Lucas Wilken (Stephanie) of Forreston, IL and Rebekah Wilken (Corey Wagner) of Tiffin, IA; his siblings, Keith (Jan Reuber) of German Valley, IL and Beverly Wilken of German Valley, IL; his grandchildren, Leon, Bryant, Isaiah, Addison and Brooklyn; his parents-in-law, Stuart and Patricia Kessler of Mt. Morris, IL; and his brothers-in-law, Dennis Kessler (Kerry) and Scott Kessler (Sherri Samsel). He is also survived by two nieces and two nephews.
A memorial has been established for the Forreston Athletic Boosters.
