He was predeceased by: his parents, Grant Groenewold and Beverly Groenewold. He is survived by: his son Grant Wonder (Araceli); and his siblings, Elizabeth Schoettle (Ekkehard), Gary (Kathie) and Guy Groenewold (Dawn). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established for North Grove Evangelical Church.
