He is survived by: his wife Doris; his children, Charles Simmons (Emily), Teresa Akey, Julie Bramstedt (Jerry), Marcia Wilkens (Brett) and Wayne Clay (DeAnne); his brother Robert Simmons; and his grandchildren, Stacey Hanson, Brad Akey, Brian Akey, Andy Wilkens (Erin), Shayla Goodwin (John), Alex Wilkens (Sara), Sarah Gonzales, Josiah Penniman (Ellen), Ben Penniman, Kayla Clay (Rocco) and Richelle Bramstadt. He is also survived by several great grandchildren and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Unger-Horner Funeral Home (400 N 6th St, Rochelle, IL 61068). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
