He is survived by: his wife Velda Snow; his children, Jessica Schaffer of El Paso, Sierra Birge (Tobi) of Fairbury and Scott Schaffer of Pontiac; his grandchildren, Dakota Shawback, Latney Schaffer, Toby and Kara Birge; and his siblings, Brian Schaffer of Forrest, Bruce Schaffer of Cooksville, Kevin of Fairbury, Terry Schaffer of Fairbury, Shirley Lawrence of Fairbury and Colleen McKay of Fairbury.
