With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Joseph R. Delaney Sr. of Forrest, Illinois, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, John E. Delaney and Pauline Thomas Delaney; and his brother John Delaney. He is survived by: his children, Joseph Jr. (Donna) of Fairbury, IL, Debra Artman (David) of Hamilton, IL and Teresa Bertram (Mark) of Urbana, IL; and his grandchildren, Jennifer Hickman (Chris) of Marshall, IL, Joseph Delaney (Stephanie Wettstein) of Bloomington, IL, Jessica Kilgus (Michael) of Fairbury, IL, Justin Artman (Robin) of Holman, WI, Sarah Artman of Kansas City, MO, Jody Fults (Brad) of Paxton, IL and Bethany Bertram of Mahomet, IL. He is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
A prayer was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 at 3:30 PM at the Duffy-Pils Memorial (100 W Maple St, Fairbury, IL 61739). Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Andrew Catholic Parish (110 E Ash St, Fairbury, IL 61739).
