He is survived by: his parents, Bernard Smith of Bear Creek, NC and Carole Smith; his son Jacob Logan Smith; his grandfather Wesley Hampton Atkins of Colfax, NC; his brother Wesley Smith (Janie Smith); his nephews, Austin and Preston; his niece Kaitlyn Smith of Apex, NC; and also, Dan Smith (Melinda Smith), Ashlyn and Luke Smith of Pittsboro, NC..
