He was predeceased by: his parents, Morris Appleman and Ethel Appleman; and his sister Ilene Bass (Michael). He is survived by: his nieces, Mollie Bass (Ben Swartzendruber) and Hannah Bass; his nephew Eli Bass (Aliya Brodsky); his great-nephew Jonah; his great-niece Clara; and his friend Vikki Irizarry (Angelo).
