It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald Benjamin Cookson of Forest City, Illinois, born in Manito, Illinois, who passed away on October 29, 2017, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Benjamin and Anna Mae Cookson (Bright). He is survived by: his wife Janet E. Hofmann; and his children, Dale Cookson of Arenzville, Luann Bader (John) of Pekin and Aletta Cookson of Glasford. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren; two sisters and three brothers.

Memorials may be made to the family to help with funeral and medical expenses.
