She was predeceased by: her former husband Omer P. Gaines; her children, Mary Lou Gaines and Larry Omer Gaines; her sons-in-law, Dennis Coggin, Gary Anderson and Richard Cannon; her stepchildren, Modena Green, John and Ivan Gaines; and her siblings, Reuben Eugene, Delbert Lee, Allen Albert Simmons, Bessie Simmons and Edna Brooks.
She is survived by: her daughters, Elsie Simmons (Koontz), Jeanette Coggin of Flora, Deana Anderson of Flora, Carolyn Cannon of Altamont and Goldie Shaw (Brian) of Newport, Tennessee; and her grandchildren, Krystal Dunnigan (Darin), Stacia Mulvaney (Mike), Kerry Herdes (Amy), Pamela Anderson, Wendi Ufford (Daniel), Larry Allan Gaines, Kyle Gaines, Teresa Hurst (Benny) and Mary Graham (Anthony). She is also survived by many great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.
Memorials are suggested to Powers Cemetery and these will be accepted by the funeral home.
