Trish Newby Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Trish Newby of Flora, Illinois, born in Olney, Illinois, who passed away on May 30, 2024 at the age of 69. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Jerry Eckel and Wanda Eckel (Hinkle); her aunt Norma Hinkle; her uncles, Tom, Norman, Jerry and Cecil Hinkle; and her siblings-in-law, David Medlin, J. R. Newby, Terry Clark and Vicki Newby.

She is survived by: her husband John Newby Sr. of Flora; her children, Deah Jones (Jody Ray) of Cisne and John Newby Jr. (Brandii) of Flora; her grandchildren, Stephanie Lynn Knicley (Tyler), Kohl Guffey, Clinton Guffey and Brianna Newby; her great grandchildren, Dean Knicley, Silas Guffey, Clay Guffey and Olivia Gonzalez; her siblings, Richard Eckel (Brenda) and Debbie Modlin; her sister-in-law Karen Jones (Mark); her uncle Frank Hinkle (Marge); and her close friends, Sissy McCloud, Cathy Dreasler and Roni Lowery.

Memorial donations are suggested to the family to assist with final expenses, and these will be accepted through the funeral home.
