She was predeceased by: her parents, Pearlie Holmes and Bessie Holmes (Tolliver); her spouse Elza Welty; her children, Louise, James Welty and Reggie Welty; her grandson Greg Newman; and her children-in-law, Loretta Welty, Pamala Welty, Lawrence Gallaway and Robert Taylor.
She is survived by: her children, Donald Welty (Geneva) of Flora, David Welty of Mt. Vernon, Shirley Gallaway of Xenia, Sandra Taylor of Buckner, Larry Joe Welty (Elaine) of Xenia, Glenn Welty (Pam) of Milton, Mike Welty (Linda) of Xenia and Joyce Panainte of Pompano Beach. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren, and numerous step grandchildren, step great grandchildren, and step great great grandchildren.
