He was predeceased by: his parents, Chlorus Edward and Leona Belle Dennis (Watson); his parents-in-law, Thurman and Ovie Cox; his sister Shirley Cox; and his granddaughter Melissa Cooper.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth Marie Cox; his children, David Dennis (Barbara) of Flora, Edward Dennis (Nancy) of Salem, Randy Dennis (Shirely) of Flora, Gary Dennis (Jennifer) of Flora, Lori Antrim (Mark) of Marshall and Kendra Firek (John) of Algonquin; his grandchildren, Scott Dennis (Cynthia), Nathan Dennis, Brian Dennis, Jodi Showalter (Gary), Jessica Mann (Giles), Cody Antrim, Blake Antrim (Kory), Sophie Firek, Maggie Firek, William Crowe (Laura), Pam Frye (Steve) and Dustin Spicer (JoAnna); his sister Linda Wiegel (Richard) of Clay City; and his siblings-in-law, Erma Keele (Jack) of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, John Cox of Flora and Vernon Cox (Ruth) of Prairie Grove, Arkansas. He is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren; 6 bonus great-grandchildren.
Memorial donations are suggested to Clay County Hospice, and these will be accepted through the funeral home.
