She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Martin and Addie Ozella Eckelberry (Plumley); her husband Edwin Vail; her son Jeffrey Vail; her son-in-law Barry White; her grandson James Robert Hallett; and her siblings, Joseph Robert Eckelberry, Edward Lee Eckelberry, Clifford Ray Eckelberry, James Oren Eckelberry, William Olen Eckelberry, Kenneth Eckelberry, Marjorie Kirkman, Melba Rowden and Thelma Furlow.
She is survived by: her children, Dennis Vail (Carla) of Pesotum, Christine Hallett (Jim) of Savannah and Patsy White of Effingham; and her sister Rhesa Eckelberry of Flora. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren.
