She was predeceased by: her parents, Bobbie Gene and Katheryn "Katie" Maybell Carter (Connerley); her brother Vernon Carter; and her sister-in-law Dee Ann Staley. She is survived by: her husband Lee Watkins of Flora; her son Calvin Watkins of Flora; her close friend Janette McCorkle; and her pets, Doc and Festus.
