He was predeceased by: his parents, Dale P. McCarty and Mary E. McCarty (Kessler); and his parents-in-law, Stanley and Virginia "Ginny" Timm. He is survived by: his pets, Teddy, Ginger and Yadi; his wife Cheryl McCarty of Flora; his sons, James S. McCarty (Heather) of Foristell, Ryan McCarty (Betsy) of Lebanon, Michael McCarty (Rachel) of Honolulu and John McCarty of Knox City, Texas; his grandchildren, James', Noah, Avery, Emma, Sean and Rylan; and his siblings, Robert "Bob" McCarty (Beverly) of Charleston, Mark McCarty of Seattle, Mike McCarty (Susana) of Suwanee, Georgia, Kim McCarty Wright of Corpus Christi and Kim Dugan of Flora. He is also survived by extended family including his brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and friends.
