Jim Grove Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jim Grove of Flora, Illinois, born in Wayne, Illinois, who passed away on October 26, 2024 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Edgar and Esther Grove (Hadley); his stepdaughter Christina; his granddaughter Randi; his great grandchild Kamden; and his siblings, Charles, Leon "Bud", Truman, Kathryn and Barbara.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Grove (King) of Flora; his sons, Troy Grove of Wayne County and Tyler Grove (Deb) of Flora; his stepson Charles Behnke (Tonya) of Flora; his brothers-in-law, Carrol Simpson of Michigan, Richard King (Leda) of Tacoma and Virgil King (Betty) of West Salem; his grandchildren, Krystal Blanchette (Nate), Corrinna Caudle (Chris), Dylan Grove (Jennah), Miranda Grove, Lucas Behnke (Amy), Nicholas Sturm, Grant Behnke, Anthony Sturm, Jencie Behnke, Paige Behnke and Allison Sturm; and his great grandchildren, Harrison, Oren, Daxton, Sutton, Leighton, Bennett, Ellie, Everley, Kamryn and Kayson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews; and other extended family.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 30th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, October 31st 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 31st 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Flora First Church of God (103 E 3rd St, Flora, IL 62839).
Memorial donations are suggested to Flora First Church of God or to any charity of the donor's choice, and these will be accepted through the funeral home.
