It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jeannie King of Flora, Illinois, born in Vincennes, Indiana, who passed away on July 1, 2024, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Justice R. Grove and Donna Lee Grove (Crutchfield); her brother Richard Grove; her aunts and uncles, Charles, Shirley Crutchfield, Ella and Sam Cotterell; and her stepson Tony King.
She is survived by: her husband Charlie King of Flora; her son Danny W. Gay of Olney; her stepson Mark King of Maple Park; her sister Karen Shehorn (Mark) of Flora; her grandson Alex P. Gay of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; her sister-in-law Karen Grove of Bridgeport; and her son John W. Gay of Claremont.
Memorial donations are suggested to Clay County Cancer Crusaders or First Southern Baptist Church of Flora.
