She was predeceased by: her parents, Scott Whalen and Sara Whalen (Wilson); her husband Floyd Dean Birk; and her siblings, Herschel Whalen (late Annie), Herman Whalen (Marcella), Hester Birch (late Lee) and Henrietta Hensley (late Van).
She is survived by: her children, Patsy Birk of Olney and LaVerl Birk of Flora; and her sister Hazel Conover.
