He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Travis and Marie Travis (Bullard). He is survived by: his wife Nancy Travis of Flora; his daughter Angela Beth Scara (Vincent) of Flora; his grandchildren, Jacob Vincent Scara, Jessica Ann Scara and Jewell Beth Scara; his great grandchild Nevaeh Jade; and his siblings, John Travis (Linda) of McLeansboro and Kay Reynolds (Jim) of Clay City. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of customary remembrances, the family requests with gratitude that memorial donations be given to either Clay County Cancer Support Group or Clay County Hospice.
