We bid farewell to Geneva O'Brien Welty of Flora, Illinois, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on January 21, 2025 at the age of 95. Geneva O'Brien touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Jess Miller and Martha Miller (Beavers); her former husband James F. O'Brien; and her children, Larry O'Brien, Jeannie Pearson Tepker and Henry O'Brien.
She is survived by: her husband Don Welty of Flora; her son Garry O'Brien (Connie) of Clay City; her children-in-law, Susan O'Brien of Xenia and George Tepker of Chatham; and her grandchildren, Brent Pearson, Brian Pearson, Brittiney Greenwood (Curtis), Amy Thompson (Doug) and Chris O'Brien. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Frank & Bright Funeral Home (500 N Main St, Flora, IL 62839). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial donations are suggested to Oak Mound Christian Church, and these will be accepted by the funeral home.
