He was predeceased by: his parents, Dale Pierson and Virginia Pierson (Cunningham); and his wife Clara. He is survived by: his children, Rebecca Williams (Rick) of Decatur and Michael Kent Pierson of Atlanta, GA; his grandchildren, Elizabeth Pearce of O'Fallon, Jarred Pearce (Patricia) of Mt, Hayley Pearce of Charleston and Lacy Pippin (Harold) of Evansville, IN; his great grandchildren, Jonas Murphy, Carson Hayes, Audrey Hayes, Anna Pearce, Julian Scales, Laurel Hayes, Zoey Pearce, Dawson Hayes and Cora Pippin; and his brother Allen Pierson (Darlene) of Flora. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations may be given to Clay County Cancer Crusaders and will be accepted at the funeral home.
