He was predeceased by: his parents, Leon B. Johnson and Edna Mae Fatheree (Henson); his stepfather Dallas Fatheree; and his mother-in-law Joan Smallwood. He is survived by: his wife Wendy Johnson of Flora; his children, Hunter Johnson of Rinard, Michelle Johnson-Henry (Donovan) of Carbondale and Eric Johnson of Denver, Colorado; his granddaughter Samantha Henry; his siblings, Vern Johnson (Gail) of Ohio, James Ross (Linda) of Effingham and Diane Johnson of Farmington, Missouri; his father-in-law Dean Smallwood of Dundas; and his siblings-in-law, Clinton Smallwood (Janet) of Nora Springs, Iowa, Carla Patterson (Craig) of Olney and Glenda Croegaert (Paul) of Richmond, Texas..
Memorial donations are suggested to the Orchardville Church Building Foundation Fund or Clay County Hospice, and these will be accepted through the funeral home.
