It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bud Bassett (Flora, Illinois), born in Olney, Illinois, who passed away on January 19, 2024, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael N. Bassett and Mabel Rose Bassett (Burgin); his children, Jay M. Bassett and Deborah Klein (William E. Klein Jr.); his granddaughter Jessika Klein Billingsley; his brother David Lee Bassett; and his siblings-in-law, Russell D. Eastin (Wanda), Norman "Topper" Eastin, Delores A. Slover, Lee Ann Eastin and Hugh Lynn.
He is survived by: his daughter Kimberly Bullard (Bryan G.) of Rinard; his grandchildren, Jayson Bassett, Jena Bassett, Jonathan Bullard (Lisa) and Jennifer Collins (Roger); his great grandchildren, Rase, Ryder (Taylor), Rowdy, Ava Beth, Rylan, Reagan, Nadia, Stacie and Kylie; his great great grandchild Evelynn Elayne; his sister Ruth Lynn of Clay City; and his siblings-in-law, Robert M. Eastin of Flora and Carol Coleman of Jackson, Missouri. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations are suggested to Oil Belt Christian Service Camp and will be accepted through the funeral home.
