It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wendell Weger Steffey of Flat Rock, Illinois, who passed away on March 24, 2024, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul E. Steffey and Dolphine Steffey (Weger); his brother Mandell; his sister-in-law Hazel Steffey; his sister Nancy; his siblings-in-law, Don Young, Loren and Beverly Belcher; and also Lindell W. Steffey.
He is survived by: his wife Floye M. Belcher; his children, Peggy Crawford (Edward), Doyle Steffey (Jeanne) and Shannon Steffey (Donald Decker); his sister-in-law Vonda Arthur (Jim) of Flat Rock, Illinois; his grandchildren, Kristi Gray (Kyle), Andrew Crawford (Johanna), Ryan Crawford (Jessica) and Casey Davidson (Clint); and his great grandchildren, Nicole Gray (Hayden), Jared Gray, Hunter Gray, Simon Crawford, Elise Crawford, Aiden Crawford, Max Crawford, Miles Crawford, Fletcher Davidson and Greer Davidson.
Memorial donations may be made to the Birds Free Methodist Church Building Fund.
