It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Robert Mandell Steffey of Flat Rock, Illinois, who passed away on March 23, 2023, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Steffey and Dolphine Steffey (Weger); his wife Hazel Christine; his sister Nancy Young; his sons-in-law, Dwight Rose and Greg Rice; and his brother-in-law Donald Young.

He is survived by: his children, Janet Rose of Columbus, David Steffey (Jill) of Brookville Ohio, Jeanne Rice of Robinson and Neal Steffey (Sandy) of Palestine, Illinois; his brother Wendell Steffey (Floye) of Flat Rock, Illinois; and his grandchildren, Nicki Tanner, Tara Jordan (Jay), Matthew Rose, Amanda Burton (Brent), Ashley Steffey, Heather Rice, Justin Rice (Stacey), Hillary McCrillis (Evan) and Halley Benton (Caleb). He is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.

Memorial donations may be made to the Birds Free Methodist Church.
