He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodore McBenge and Frances McBenge (Gandt); his wife Linda Veff; his siblings, Cheryl Scales and Frank McBenge; and his brother-in-law Wayne Denney.
He is survived by: his sons, Clifford W. McBenge, Jr. (Lesia) of Flat Rock and Eric McBenge (Sheila) of Brandenburg, Kentucky; his grandchildren, Alyssa Watson (Nick) of Auburn, Tiffany Humphrey (Murdock) of Brandenburg, Katelynne Garavaglia (Jim) of Charleston, Travis McBenge (Laci) of Robinson, Logan McBenge of Brandenburg, Lindsey VanSchoycik (Matt) of Robinson and Emily Grazaitis (Joe) of Robinson; his great grandchildren, Miley, Lainey, Madyson, Gunnar, Harley, Ali, Gannon, Huck, Noah, Henry, Bray, Elsie, Nevaeh and Autumn; his siblings, Esther Denney and Bill McBenge of Lincoln; his brother-in-law Jim Scales of Atlanta, Illinois.; and his close friend Morton "Morty" McBenge.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Riley Hospital for Children and mailed to Adams Funeral Chapel, 2330 Shawnee Drive, Charleston, IL 61920.
