He is survived by: his wife Joyce Kuerth; his children, Steven (Mary) and Susan Rients (Alan); his grandchildren, Amanda Smith (Brandon), Jacob Carls (Molly), Megan Rients, Katie Rients and Jared Rients; and his great grandchildren, Bryer Carls, Addison Smith and Jed Carls.
