He was predeceased by: his parents, John J. Schneider and Rose E. Schneider (Hindert); his wife Dorothy Ann Yordy; his son Craig Schneider; his son-in-law Danny Watson; his grandson Chad Schneider; and his siblings, Bud Schneider, John Schneider, Ollie Schneider, Leland Schneider, Jim Schneider, Frank Schneider, Emily Schneider and Mary Gebhard.
He is survived by: his children, Gary Schneider (Susan), Chris Schneider, Kevin Schneider (Mary), Paul Schneider (Jean), Steve Schneider (Sharon), Gale Watson, Carol Frobish (Paul), Gardner and Jane Detwiler (John); his brother U. J. Schneider; his daughter-in-law Paula Schneider; and also, Jan Schneider and Lynn Rodino. He is also survived by 38 grandchildren; 87 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church (119 E Howard St, Pontiac, IL 61764). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to St. Mary's Food Pantry, OSF Hospice or to the Flanagan FFA.
