She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Dennis "Denny" Carls and Dorinda (Folkerts); her husband Joel D. Eckhoff; her children, Sydney Barth (Jonathan) and Drew Eckhoff (Maci); her grandchild Saige Barth; her brother Doug Carls (Amber); her nieces and nephews, Dylan and Delaney Carls; her parents-in-law, Alvin and Eileen Eckhoff (Ginzel); and her grandchild Saige Marie.
Memorial contributions in Dawn's memory can be made to the St. Petri Evangelical Lutheran Church or Cancer Research.
