He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Gardner Sloat and Agnes Buck Sloat; his former wife Violet Mae Lowery; his wife Anna Sue Spencer; his children, Phyllis Sloat of Champaign, Steve Sloat of Fisher, Stanley Sloat (Jeanne) of Fisher and Jayne Hart (Glenn) of Fenton, Missouri.; his grandchildren, Amy Hedrick (Greg), Amanda Hart, Dustin Hart (Anela), Jacob Hart (Breanna) and Michele Schultze; his great grandchildren, Jaxon Hart, Aria Hart and Cassandra Fekete (Christian); and his sister Shirley Blankenship.
