It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Nellie Marie DeVerger of Fieldon, Illinois, born in Detroit, Michigan, who passed away on March 6, 2024, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Claude Leroy and Jessie Stella Cope (Tucker); her husband Judson Carl DeVerger; and her siblings, Dollie McFarland, Reathel Plieman, Keith, Leroy and Forest Cope.
She is survived by: her son Rick; her daughter-in-law Mary DeVerger of Fieldon; her daughters, Debbie DeVerger of Grafton and Lisa; her son-in-law Roger Snider of Fieldon; her grandchildren, Brian DeVerger (Marcia) of Fieldon, Darin DeVerger (April Loy) of Jerseyville, Brandyn Snider (Stephanie West) of Springfield and Adrienne Seward (Brandt) of Seattle, Washington; her stepgrandchildren, Trenton Griffith, Angel Kunkel and Cassidy Yates; her great grandchildren, Christian and Kyah DeVerger; and her stepgranddaughter Doris Jean Phillips of Jerseyville.
In lieu of flowers or plants, memorials may be given to Hardin Presbyterian Church, in care of the funeral home.
