She was predeceased by: her husband Dow Johnson; and her daughter Peggy Johnson. She is survived by: her parents, William Phillips and Myrtle Phillips (Kirchhoff); her siblings, Richard Phillips, Earl Phillips and Bernice Haworth (Binny); and also Fieldon Baptist Church. She is also survived by her mother and father.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Fieldon Baptist Church.
