She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Rankin and Sylvia Rankin (Miller); her husband Kenneth Holmes; her son Alan Eugene Holmes; and her siblings, Victor Rankin, Peggy Lueking and Charlotte Jarvis.

She is survived by: her daughter Beth Owens of Ohio; her grandsons, Thomas Owens (Stephanie) and Peter Owens (Jen); and her great grandchildren, Henry, Elsie and Anna.
