It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gerald E. Haist of Farmington, Illinois, born in Table Grove, Illinois, who passed away on February 6, 2021, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Dale E. Haist and Isabel Haist (Patterson); his son Terry Haist; his grandson Jeromy Haist; and his siblings, Paul Haist, Marjorie Thorne and Marilyn Gibson.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn K. Fairhust; his children, Scott Haist of Farmington, DeWayne Arington of Bartonville, IL and Cynthia Spears of Atlanta, GA; his great grandchild J'Lynn Haist of Farmington; and his sisters, Ruth Ford (late Harold) of Canton, IL. and Mary Keefauver (late Bob) of Canton, IL.. He is also survived by five step-grandsons; three step-granddaughters; five step-great-grandsons; three step-great-granddaughters.
