He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles F. Brown and Mary K. Brown (Nichols); and his great-nephew Hunter. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Van Dyke; his son Justin M. Brown; his sister Glenna C. McGinnis (Steve); his nieces, DeAnna (Dustin Morgan), Lacey and Shannon; his nephew Nick (Jessica Tunnell); and his great-nieces, Maysun, Emma, Madison and Paisley.
