He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Rovey and Alberta Rovey (Goetsch). He is survived by: his wife Kathy M. Murphy of Farmersville; his children, Elaine M. Wagner of Morrisonville, Derek G. (Erica) of Auburn and Zachary A. (Christina) of Girard; his grandchildren, Samantha Bourke (Derek), Trevor Wagner (Charlotte), Kellen, Jack Rovey, Blaize, Pierce Rovey, Natalie, Shelby and William Herman; his great grandchildren, Jaxson, Grady Bourke and Caleigh Wagner; and his brothers, Stanley Rovey (Jeanne) of Springfield, Leonard Rovey (Lynda) of Farmersville, Wayne Rovey (Catherine) of Chatham and Dale Rovey of Girard. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 at 1:30 PM and from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church (310 Nobbe St, Farmersville, IL 62533). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
