She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Pierce and Pauline Pierce; and her brothers, Michael and Monty Pierce. She is survived by: her spouse Merle Coffin; her children, Merle Jr. (Faye) of Mansfield, Micah (Kelli Maxwell) of Oakwood, Andrea (Mark Kuglar) of Cissna Park and Alyssa of Farmer City; and her siblings, Coleen Helmick of Paducah, Kentucky, Walter (Heather Pierce) of Mahomet and Tony Pierce (Georgia) of Monticello. She is also survived by 6 grandsons, 4 granddaughters, 10 great-grandsons, 4 great-granddaughters and another great-grandchild.
