He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Kemplin and Maude Applegate Kemplin; his son David Kemplin Sr; and his siblings, Eugene Kemplin, Frederick Kemplin, Virginia Kemplin and Velma White.
He is survived by: his spouse Nona Elizabeth Cook; his daughter Susan Michel (Fred) of High Ridge, MO; and his siblings, Robert "Chick" Kemplin of Farmer City, IL, Vernon "Butch" Kemplin (Margaret) of Mansfield, IL, Bernice Lamb of Farmer City, IL and Bernadine Lentz of Indianapolis, IN.. He is also survived by three grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren.
