He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Yingst and Violet Yingst (Landreth); his siblings, Kathleen Yingst, Betty Fancher, Ruby Caldwell, Emma Davis, Maxine Wilson, Buddy Yingst and Carl Yingst; his daughter Donna K. Grabbe; his grandchildren, Jason Ames and Brittney Elledge; and his son-in-law Steve Elledge.
He is survived by: his wife Kay Yingst of Farina; his children, James "Bo" Yingst (Hope) of Farina, Eric Yingst (Tammy) of Farina, Susan Foust (Jerry) of Edgewood and Karen Elledge of Farina; and his siblings, Victor Yingst (Debra) of Edgewood, Robert Yingst (Sara) of Farina, David Yingst (Christy) of Missouri, Glenn Yingst (Diane) of Edgewood, Violet Lilley (Don) of Louisville, Ruth Yingst of Farina and Fern Hays of Mason. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Pagel Funeral Home -Edgewood (701 Broad St, Edgewood, IL 62426). A memorial service was held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials may go to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the donor's choice.
