He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd E. McElyea and Nellie M. McElyea (Pickle); and his wife Betty Ann McElyea. He is survived by: his children, Greg McElyea of Edgewood, Richard Simmons of Clay City, Illinois, Tammy Verdeyen (Ron) of Mason, Mary Ann Johnson of Edgewood and Daisy Gelsinger (Rick) of Kinmundy, Illinois; and his great grandchild Kayson. He is also survived by many brothers and sisters; 8 grandchildren.
