We are sad to announce that on February 15, 2025 we had to say goodbye to Otilda M. Byrne of Fairview Heights, Illinois. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her siblings, August'Auggie'Maier, Emil Maier and Theresa Maier Kohlhaas. She is survived by: her brother Marvin'John'Maier of Haubstadt; her children, John Byrne (Nancy) of Fairview Heights, Patricia Schaefer (Dave) of Belleville, Michelle Voruz (Martin) of Fairview Heights and Brigid Sternberg (Kenneth) of O'Fallon, Ill.; her grandchildren, Kelly Herrington (Mike Smith), Fran Byrne (Mark Berowski), Katelyn Bernardoni (Cody), Stephanie Benway (Matt) and Kyle Sternberg; her great grandchildren, Jacob Gebhart (Katey Bedard) and Hailey Connor; and her great great grandchild Bodhi Gebhart. She is also survived by loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Wolfersberger Funeral Home (102 W Washington St, O'Fallon, IL 62269). A prayer will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 at 6:30 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 9:00 AM and at 10:00 AM at the Saint Clare of Assisi Catholic Church (1411 Cross St, O'Fallon, IL 62269).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested in the form of Masses or to the Guatemala Scholarship Fund at St. Clare of Assisi Catholic Church or to Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS).
