She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Elmer Appel and Doris Appel (Anna); her pet Patches; and her sisters, Charlene Mehrtens (Armin) of Millstadt, IL and Mona Lisa Marie Kehrer of Fairview Heights, IL. She was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations may be given in Mary Ann's name to the American Cancer Society.
